Well, despite my desire to blog more, I already spend too much time on the internet, so it just doesn't happen! However, I made 2 new delicious recipes that I gotta pass on. First, I made
Pork Tenderloin. Since I'm a wimp and don't grill in the winter, I seared the pork in a frying pan with a little olive oil for about 4 minutes on each side at medium heat, then transferred to a dish, poured the leftover marinade over it, and popped it in the oven at 350 for about 45 minutes (til the meat got to 160 degrees). It turned out very good, despite the fact that I hate mustard, and the marinade mixture smelled really nasty!
Second, I made
Roasted Sweet Potatoes. I followed the recipe except I didn't add the sugar, and I cut it in slices instead of wedges. It was very good!
Despite loving them as a baby, since coming off baby food I cannot get Faith to eat sweet potatoes in any form, and this was no exception, but I have always hated sweet potatoes and recently found that I really like them if they're cooked this way! Faith ate the pork though, and tenderloin is about the only pork tender enough for her, as she doesn't like any tough meat (she's a medium rare steak fan like myself)
While I'm here, I will also announce that we have switched to drinking raw milk instead of the regular pasteurized and homogenized stuff. It requires extra running around since I can't get it at the grocery store, but after doing some research I decided the health benefits were worth it. I first got it from a local lady who had a milk cow, and I must admit I didn't like the flavor at all, it tasted very "farmy". She adopted a calf who is drinking all the milk, so I had to start getting it from the health food store instead, and this stuff is so much better! It's from Jerseys instead of Holsteins, I don't know if that makes a difference, but it sure does taste better. I don't think I can ever go back to skim again after this creamy fatty delicious milk

But... it costs $6 a gallon, so I am also drinking more water, as I gotta make this stuff last as long as possible! The cool part is you can skim the cream off the top, and I've been able to use that to make homemade ice cream and even butter!

wow - you're becoming quite the Martha Stewart! :) The recipes sound yummy - I'm sure I'll try the roasted sweet potatoes, because they have always been my favorite vegetable. :)
